In ton cu unele filme SF cu incarcatura psihologica precum The Next One (1982) si K-PAX (2001) vine mai cerebralul The Man From Earth (2007). Povestea il priveste pe profesorul John Oldman, un om de stiinta ce convoaca un grup de asociati la un experiment si ii uimeste cu o descoperire fantastica: el nu este un om obisnuit, ci un nemuritor cu o varsta de 14.000 de ani, care a supravietuit secolelor de evolutie din cro-magnon si pana in prezent. In orele ce urmeaza, afirmatia zguduitoare a profesorului Oldmsn despre sine insusi ii provoaca pe cei prezenti la nivel spiritual, stiintific si istoric. Dar ce este mai incredibil abia urmeaza – un adevar si mai uimitor.
